Bio
Jere Vartiainen (b. 1983) is a poet and psychologist from Oulu, Finland. He has published three collections of poetry, the newest of which is titled Minuus | Miinus (Kolera, 2018) and is dedicated to boys with anxiety. The collection was shortlisted for the Tanssiva karhu Literature Award, presented by national broadcaster Yle. Vartiainen also won the Finnish national poetry slam in 2014, coming second in 2015, and his poems have been featured in numerous domestic cultural magazines and other publications.
